Description: Peppercorns (Piper nigrum) grown in Kampot province, southern Cambodia, have long been known for their distinctive, aromatic, and complex taste, linked to the unique terroir of Kampot. Kampot pepper (Poivre de Kampot) have Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status in the EU, which ensures traceability and organic growing/production methods.
Taste: The salted green peppercorns are picked when they are immature, then cured in 20% salt to preserve their fresh flavor. They are juicy and pop in your mouth with a spicy, fruity explosion. Quite unlike any pepper you’ve tasted.
Use whole on top of seafood, or mixed into sauces.
